| Felice Pomeranz has been performing in the Greater Boston area since 1978. She holds degrees from New England Conservatory in both classical music and jazz, being the first harpist to receive a jazz degree from NEC. Ms. Pomeranz has been a clinician and performer at festivals around the United States, Europe and the Caribbean, as well as directing three summer harp festivals in New England. The Felice Pomeranz Jazz Quartet has performed throughout New England, Europe, and the Caribbean. Her classical and popular arrangements for harp are available through Vanderbilt Music Company and many other harp related outlets. She serves on the Board of Directors for the American Harp Society and is currently an officer of the Boston Chapter. In 1982, Ms. Pomeranz founded The Gilded Harps, a music referral network of the best harpists in the New England area. Ms. Pomeranz holds the Associate Professor of Harp position at Berklee College of Music in Boston. She is also a member of the faculty of The Boston Conservatory, where she is part of a collaborative harp department. Her recording, Tomorrows Dream, features flutist Matt Marvuglio and her jazz quartet, and is available through Amazon.com and her website, www.gildedharps.com. Felices latest project, Jazzy Beginnings, is an instructional DVD about beginning jazz harp technique. It is widely available and also can be found on her website. Her next project, Harp in the Band, Volume 1, will be available shortly on her website and from harp outlets. |
