CAMP GUIDELINES
WEEK 1: Students 10-12 years of age of all levels are welcome.
WEEK 2: Students interested in Harp Ensemble Track must have previous harp ensemble or chamber music experience and sight-reading ability. A minimum of 2-4 years of private harp study is strongly recommended (for students applying outside of the above guidelines, an additional recommendation from another music teacher or professional will be required). All students must be 12 years of age or older.
Students are required to bring their own, or arrange to bring their own harps (a very limited number of rental pedal and/or lever harps may be available; please contact Susan Knapp Thomas for more information). Harps will be housed in a building on campus with locked rooms.
Upon acceptance to CVHI you will receive instructions on what to pack, medical forms to complete and return, and a schedule for the week, along with guidelines for your stay. Music for Harp Ensemble Trackers will be sent previous to your stay, and should be prepared ahead of time. Solo Trackers should plan to arrive with their chosen solo, chamber or orchestral repertoire or concerto well in progress to allow for maximum learning experience in their private lessons, and a well prepared program for the final concert.
